Why We Use Adobe Reader 8
The printed
APARTMENT ConNeXTion
Rental Guide displays six rental listings per page.
We
preserved this format to provide an online
reproduction
of the published pages.
You can view, download, and/or print
the section pages,
allowing you to carry them with you, and take notes on them as you
wish.
Adobe®
Reader 8 is the best way to deliver these pages in any of the
popular browsers.
It allows embedded PDF's in the page without viewing problems &
allows you to click on links
inside the PDF, which may include anything from printable brochures
to floorplans and websites!
Adobe®
Reader 8 also helps protect you from websites that aren't as
trustworthy as we are!
With Adobe®
Reader 8 you can use our site navigation while reviewing PDF's on
the same page.
It is a free download from Adobe (see link below) and is very useful to have on
your computer.
Benefits include increased functionality in page navigation,
printing, saving, and magnification for viewing.
Of
course, if you are more comfortable loading the PDF in a separate
window,
the option is still there for you. Just use the "View PDF in a
Separate Window" link.
If
the rental listing section pages do not display properly on your computer:
-
Your
browser is not the current version of Explorer, Netscape or
Firefox
-
Adobe
Reader is not installed on your computer
-
You are using a version older than Adobe Reader 8
Either of these display issues can quickly be resolved by
following the instructions below.

|
1) Click on the link
below, which will take you to the Adobe Reader 8 download
page.
Click to Open a Separate Window and Download Adobe Reader
(If you are using a pop-up blocker, be sure to temporarily
allow the pop-up if necessary.)
2) Follow the on-screen instructions. If there is a box labeled Download Adobe Reader,
make sure
it is checked. You may uncheck any
others, as they are unnecessary. (You don't need to
download Adobe Photoshop® Album Starter Edition
& may uncheck it before continuing.)
3) When the browser asks if you want to open or save the file,
choose to save it and note the
location. Then double-click on the downloaded file. It will
download Adobe Reader and direct
you through setup. Follow the instructions on-screen to complete the
installation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If asked during install, choose Adobe Reader
8.0
as your default PDF viewer.

The Adobe PDF embedded
on our website pages should work with
all the current versions of
Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Firefox.
Even without a currently updated browser or Adobe Reader 8,
you can view the complete sections by
clicking
"View PDF in a Separate Window."
This allows easy navigation through the pages, viewing of different
sections, and printing.
The PDF display simply comes down on top of the page instead of inside
the page.
So you lose the easy use of the web site navigation buttons.
